    Long Island based high-end residential AV company seeking to fill a full time Draftsman position with 3+ years of experience.

    Position would require Good to Strong CAD knowledge. Work done with CAD Software would be Wiring Plans, Detailed elevations, Lighting control systems, AV residential and commercial engineering. Knowledge of BlueBeam software, HVAC systems and Video Projector site lines is a plus. Environment is relatively dynamic and the candidate would join the team of 7 experienced members.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience

    • Must have working experience in engineering/architectural drafting

    • Must be able to generate plans and sections

    • Excellent communications skills

    • Commercial or Residential AV experience

    • Experience with Crestron, Savant, Lutron would be beneficial but not a must.

  • We specialize in the permanent installation of world-class AV systems.     This position requires up to 25% travel.

    As a Project Manager you will provide effective budgeting, deployment, and progress tracking of technicians, projects and associated services provided by the Systems Innovation team. You are responsible for ensuring the timely and comprehensive completion of AV Integration projects by overseeing all phases of the project. You will work with Sales Engineers, Programmers, and Technical Managers to develop and manage appropriate timelines for projects and quotes and develop the necessary processes to effectively keep a project on time and on budget.

    A typical day may include, but is not limited to:

    • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders through communication and collaboration

    • Understand and enforce contractual responsibilities, and contract documents and provide dispute resolution

    • Manage all change orders, including negotiating, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impacts

    • Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project coordinators

    • Project planning: develop specific timelines for projects to deliver an accurate budget.

    • Monitor and manage the progression of other trades and how each relates to tasks and project timelines to allow for forecasting of conflicts as well as allow for proactive solutions to minimize the effects on labor allocations, timeline constraints and budgets.

    • Staff deployment: develop and maintain a technician scheduling platform.

    • Maintain communication with Lead Technicians and Technical Management on status of projects and task lists.

    • Project management: set appropriate project milestones and maintain them through effective communication with Sales Engineer, Tech Manager, and client.

    • Process management: develop and maintain effective analytics to measure profitability and efficiency.

    • Develop and document standard operating procedures, site safety programs and project timelines.

    To be a successful Project Manager, you should have the following:

    • 5 years of Professional Project Management experience working on projects exceeding $2MM in total annual value

    • Proven track record for project completion within specific budget/timelines.

    • Solid knowledge of construction techniques and workflows relative to AVL installations.

    • Strong telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.

    • Flexibility of schedule, including weekends and evenings.

    • Computer knowledge including but not limited to MS Office, Vectorworks and or AutoCad programs.

    • Proven technical management skills of personnel in the live event environments

    • Ability to travel internationally (passport)

    Responsibilities:

    - Collaborate with the Account Executive to determine optimal AV solutions for clients.

    - Craft detailed customer proposals outlining project scopes.

    - Develop comprehensive and competitive bill of materials ensuring all system functionalities are accounted for.

    - Estimate labor requirements across project phases.

    - Act as a quality assurance checkpoint for proposal pricing accuracy.

    - Preferably holds a BSEE or equivalent qualification.

    - Proficient in AutoCAD.

    - Possesses 2+ years of experience in AV systems, design, and engineering.

    - Holds a CTS designation (CTS-D preferred).

    What you will be doing: You will specialize in the configuring, readying, and troubleshooting of software/network-based product solutions. A fundamental understanding of audio-visual principles, functionality, and terminology is required to be successful.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Configuration of manufacturer applications, interfaces, and products based on system/client requirements.

    • Develop configuration requirements and documents for manufacturer applications and products.

    • Provide support in developing, implementing and testing patch releases and system firmware upgrades.

    • Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within deadlines both in the integration lab and the field.

    • Verify systems integration wiring connectivity and terminations in the lab.
